    Redpath Hall, located on McTavish street Montreal, originally served as the reading room of Redpath Library. Build in 1893 (By architects Percy Erskine Nobbs and Andrew Taylor) and repurposed in 1952, the building is now used as McGill's venue for performances and campus events. I spent lots of time shooting in this area, experimenting with plants and flowers near by, as well as different angles and distances. I used the flowers in the foreground to frame the Redpath Hall and lead the eye to the beautiful architecture.     These two buildings are very different from one another. Both located on Sherbrooke West Street, the contrast between the older (McCall MacBain Arts Building, built in 1837) and newer architecture style (HSBC Bank Canada) brings an interesting element to the photograph, demonstrating how Montreal's appearance evolved and changed over the years.
